I received an email last week from my best friend Sharon. Attached to the email was a picture from the February 2007 edition of British Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. Featured on the page were two quilts -- one was Sharon's quilt "Into the Void" and the other was my quilt "Lost." Accompanying the quilts was text about each piece and Open Hearts, Helping Hands, a juried exhibit curated by Laura Cater-Woods where the works appeared.
For a newbie in the art world, I cannot tell you how thrilling this is. Not only did my work appear in a magazine, it appeared on the page with my best friend's work, and in the same article featuring work by Claire Fenton. What an honor.
